Appointment of Mr. Chetan Sehgal as Lead Portfolio Manager
The Company announces that, with immediate effect, Mr. Chetan Sehgal, Senior Managing
Director, Director of Portfolio Management overseeing the global emerging markets strategy
at Franklin Templeton, has been appointed Lead Portfolio Manager of TEMIT. He will be
further supported by an experienced team of over 80 dedicated emerging markets investment
professionals located across 20 offices around the world.
On 31 January 2018, Mr. Carlos Hardenberg gave notice of his resignation from Franklin
Templeton Investment Management Limited. He will continue as a Portfolio Manager for
TEMIT until 31 March 2018.
A 22-year veteran of emerging markets investing, Mr. Sehgal has been a Portfolio Manager
and Senior Research Analyst for the Company for the last two years, working closely with
Mr. Hardenberg. During that time, Mr. Sehgal has been a key contributor to driving the
Company’s out-performance through in-depth research and investment execution decisions.
The investment manager will continue to adhere to the time-tested Templeton investment
philosophy of bottom up, long-term, value oriented emerging markets investing.
