ArborGen Enters Partnership

With S.C. Forestry Commission to Operate State Nursery

Agreement to operate the Taylor Nursery will expand availability of the company’s

portfolio of seedlings to South Carolina and surrounding states.



RIDGEVILLE, SC – February 27, 2018 – ArborGen, a global leader in the sale and

development of advanced genetic seedlings that improve the productivity of forest trees,

today announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with the South

Carolina Forestry Commission. The exclusive 10 year agreement will allow ArborGen to

modernize and operate the Taylor Nursery in Trenton, S.C., increasing its annual

capacity to 30 million units.

Taylor Nursery will become the seventh nursery location for ArborGen providing the

most genetically advanced loblolly seedlings for the Southeast.


The company will begin to make improvements to the facility once the contract begins on

April 1, 2018. The first crop of seedlings will be available in 2018/2019.
