Sale of North Queensland Airports

completed

Auckland Airport has announced today that it has completed the sale of its 24.6%

shareholding in North Queensland Airports (“NQA”) for AU$370 million.

Auckland Airport Chief Financial Officer, Phil Neutze, says “Today’s announcement

completes a year-long process involving a strategic review of our investment in NQA

and discussions with both existing investors and potential third party investors.”

“Our eight-year investment in NQA has been a very successful one. The sale of our

shareholding ensures that we can focus on growing our New Zealand travel, trade and

tourism businesses and recycle the proceeds of the sale into supporting the significant

investment in aeronautical infrastructure at Auckland Airport over the next five years.”

Auckland Airport was advised during the sale process by First NZ Capital, Credit

Suisse and MinterEllison.
