Request for Trading Halt

Auckland, 17 April 2018:
Fletcher Building Limited has today requested a trading halt
of its ordinary shares on the NZX Main Board and the ASX. The Company has sought
this trading halt while it undertakes an accelerated entitlement offer of ordinary shares
to institutional shareholders and an institutional bookbuild. The outcome of this
institutional entitlement offer and bookbuild is expected to be released prior to market
open on Friday 20 April 2018.

The Company expects the trading halt to continue until the commencement of trading
on Friday 20 April 2018.
