APPOINTMENT OF NEW CEO FOR VISTA ENTERTAINMENT
Vista Group International (NZX/ASX) has today announced that Leon Newnham will take over as CEO
of Vista Entertainment, Vista Group’s largest subsidiary, from Kimbal Riley. As announced in January
Mr Riley has taken up the position of CEO for Vista Group from 3 April 2018.
Mr Newnham is currently the CEO of Vista Entertainment USA and has had roles with Vista
Entertainment in both the UK and USA before becoming the head of the US operation in June 2016. In
addition to his roles at Vista he has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia and the UK. Mr
Newnham has great understanding of the film industry landscape and an excellent background in
delivering results in the roles he has undertaken with Vista Entertainment.
Mr Riley says “...we had an exceptional pool of applicants for the role, internal and external, and it is a
pleasure to provide Leon with this opportunity to lead Vista Entertainment. I am sure he will be able to
transfer the skills he has already shown in the USA based operations to this wider role in Vista
Entertainment...”
Mr Newnham says that he is excited by the challenge of the new role and pleased to be able to
continue to build his career within Vista Group.
Mr Newnham will stay based in Los Angeles but will spend more time In New Zealand and ensure a
strong management team at the New Zealand head office.
Mr Newnham will take up the role from 01 May 2018.
