New Zealand King Salmon wins Emerging Leaders Best Investor Relations Award at INFINZ Awards
New Zealand’s largest salmon producer, New Zealand King Salmon (NZX and ASX: NZK) has underlined
the significant effort it puts into communications with investors by winning the NZX Emerging Leaders
Best Investor Relations Award at the 2018 INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals NZ Inc) Awards.
The annual awards are the leading national awards recognising innovation and excellence in New
Zealand's financial and capital markets.
The judges referred to NZ King Salmon as a leading light in the NZ market when it comes to disclosure
and transparency. Analysts and investors have commented that management are generous with their
time, key operational metrics are provided to the market and their environmental, social and
governance reporting is very comprehensive. They also noted that disclosure post listing remains as
comprehensive, if not more comprehensive, than the initial product disclosure statement.
NZ King Salmon Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Clark said the company was delighted to receive the
award. “When we listed in 2016 it was really important to us that we exceeded the expectations of
investors and gave them the chance to understand the innovation, science and sustainability that
underpins our business. We’re extremely proud of the story behind our business and telling that story
clearly and compellingly to interested audiences will only support our business growing sustainably into
the future.
“This accolade, along with our own investor feedback survey, confirms we’ve achieved that and we
thank INFINZ and the judges for this award”, says Clark.
“There is phenomenal potential for the aquaculture industry and salmon farming in New Zealand, and
we’re looking forward to continuing to deliver creative communications with NZ’s financial markets, our
shareholders and the wider community.”
INFINZ is the member based industry body for professionals working and participating in New Zealand's
wholesale finance and capital markets.
