Contact Energy announces departure of Chief Financial Officer


Contact Energy (Contact) announces that Graham Cockroft, Chief Financial Officer

(CFO), has decided to leave the company on 31 August 2018 to take up the role of

Group Chief Financial Officer at Sembcorp Industries Limited in Singapore. Contact has

commenced its search for a new CFO.


Graham Cockroft joined Contact in 2009, initially as Chief Operating Officer, before

becoming the CFO in 2012.


Sir Ralph Norris, Chair of Contact said, “On behalf of the Board and shareholders I

would like to thank Graham for the significant contribution he has made to Contact over

the last nine years and wish him every success in the future.”


Dennis Barnes, CEO of Contact said, “Graham has been a valued member of the

leadership team, bringing his financial and energy experience to enhance Contact’s

strategy and performance. It has been a pleasure to work with Graham and, on behalf of

the leadership team and employees, I would like to thank him and wish him well in his

new role and life in Singapore.”


Graham Cockroft, CFO of Contact, said, “My nine years at Contact have been very

enjoyable and an important part of my career. I’m leaving Contact at a time when it is

performing well, both operationally and financially, and increasingly ready for the future. I

am confident it will continue to deliver value for customers, shareholders and other

stakeholders.”
