Freightways announces addition to Board of Directors
Freightways Limited (Freightways) announces the appointment of Andrea Staines to the Board as an
Independent Director, with effect from 20 August 2018.

Andrea Staines is a professional director based in Australia. She has 12 years’ governance experience
on the Boards of a range of Australian entities, mostly in the transport and retail services sector. Andrea
has an undergraduate degree in Economics, and an MBA focused on financial analysis and strategy. Her
executive experience was mostly in airlines, including American Airlines in Dallas, and Qantas Group
in Sydney. During her last five years at Qantas, she co-launched Australian Airlines (mark II) as Chief
Commercial Officer, and became CEO shortly after launch. Earlier roles at Qantas included running
Global Revenue Management.
As a non-executive director, Andrea has chaired multiple Board Committees, including Audit & Risk,
Remuneration & Nomination, and temporary Committees with a business unit or project focus. Andrea
is currently a director of SeaLink Travel (Australia), QIC, UnitingCare Qld, Tourism Australia and NDIA
(the Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme Agency).
In welcoming Andrea as a Freightways director, Chairman Sue Sheldon said “Andrea brings to
Freightways key strengths in fast moving consumer services and transport, a track record of operational
excellence and innovation and a proven strategic focus. Her experience and capabilities complement
those of other Freightways directors and will continue the strong focus of the board on sound corporate
governance.”

At the company’s Annual Shareholders Meeting on 25 October 2018, shareholders will be asked to elect
Andrea Staines to the Board of Freightways Limited.
