Chairman Retirement



In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11 the Board of The Bankers Investment Trust
PLC today announces that Mr Richard Killingbeck is to retire from the Board at the
conclusion of the 2019 Annual General Meeting on 27 February 2019.

Ms Sue Inglis is to succeed Mr Killingbeck as Chairman of the Company. Ms Inglis,
currently the Senior Independent Director, has been on the Board since November
2012 and has considerable experience in financial services and, in particular, listed
closed-end funds / investment trusts.

As a result of these changes Mr Julian Chillingworth will assume the role of Senior
Independent Director at the conclusion of the 2019 Annual General Meeting.
