Appointment of Director

The Board of Scales Corporation Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Lai Po Sing,
Tomakin, as a non-executive director of the company. Mr Lai’s appointment is effective from 28
January 2019.

Mr Lai is a director of China Resources Ng Fung Limited, who hold a 15.24% shareholding in Scales.
Mr Lai is also the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of China Resources
Enterprise, Limited.

In accordance with Scales’ constitution, Mr Lai will retire from office at the next Annual Shareholders’
Meeting and will be eligible for election at that meeting.

Additionally, in accordance with Listing Rules 3.3.2 and 3.3.3(b) the Board have determined that Mr
Lai is a non-independent director of Scales.
