Genesis Chair announces appointment of Catherine Drayton as non-executive
director
The Genesis Energy Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Drayton as a non-executive
director of Genesis Energy.
Catherine is a professional company director with extensive Board experience. She is the Chair of Christchurch
International Airport Limited and currently serves on the boards of a number of entities including Beca Group
Limited, Southern Cross Medical Care Society, Southern Cross Hospitals Limited and the Guardians of New
Zealand Superannuation. She has previously held governance roles in a range of entities, including Meridian
Energy Limited, Ngai Tahu Corporation Limited and PowerbyProxi Limited.
The Chairman of Genesis Energy, Barbara Chapman, said “we are delighted to have Catherine join the Genesis
Board. She brings outstanding governance and commercial experience that will complement the diversity of
thought already in place around the Genesis Board table.”

significant international financial management experience to Genesis.”
Catherine Drayton’s appointment will be effective from 14 March 2019. The Board has determined that
Catherine Drayton is an independent director.
