Nick Dowling appointed as an independent director

EBOS Group Limited (EBOS) is pleased to advise of the appointment of Mr Nick Dowling as an
independent director, effective 1 February 2020.

Mr Dowling brings a wealth of experience in building, acquiring and growing businesses
across a broad range of industries.

Mr Dowling is Chief Operating Officer at Balmoral Australia which is a family office engaged in
the tourism, wine, maritime and investment sectors. Prior to Balmoral Australia, Mr Dowling
was Managing Director and CEO, Australia and New Zealand at New Hope Group Co. Ltd, a
private Beijing based corporation engaged in agribusiness and food, real estate and
infrastructure, chemicals, finance and investment. At New Hope Group Mr Dowling led a
portfolio of investments in sectors including pet food, dairy, real estate, vitamins, beef and
real estate.

Mr Dowling has also held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley and
began his career at New Zealand based merchant bank Southpac Corporation. He currently
sits on the Advisory Board of AEH Group.

EBOS Chair Liz Coutts said that Mr Dowling brings a wealth of diversified experience to the
EBOS Board. “Nick’s expertise across a broad range of industries as well as his deep M&A
experience will be of great benefit to the Group’s broad business portfolio and strategic
growth objectives. We look forward to him joining the Board in February 2020” Ms Coutts
said.

The Board has determined that Mr Dowling will be an Independent Director (as defined in the
NZX Listing Rules) following his appointment on 1 February 2020.
