New Chief Executive Officer for Refining NZ

Following an international search, Refining NZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Naomi

James as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Naomi is currently Executive Vice President at Santos Ltd, Australia’s second largest independent oil

and gas producer, where she is responsible for Santos’ midstream infrastructure assets including oil

and gas processing facilities.

Prior to Santos, Naomi held leadership roles at Australian mining and materials company Arrium Ltd,

including Chief Executive of the Group’s non-integrated steel businesses.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University and a Master’s of Law and

Management from the University of New South Wales

The Refining NZ Board believes that Naomi’s prior experience in strategy development, operations

and change management will be hugely beneficial as the Company transitions to meet the needs of a

lower carbon economy and realise the full value of Refining NZ’s infrastructure assets.

A start date is yet to be confirmed but Naomi is expected to take up the role during the month of

April 2020.
