SUMMERSET WELCOMES VENA CRAWLEY TO BOARD
Summerset Group Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of
Venasio (Vena) Crawley to the Board of Directors.
Mr Crawley is currently the Chief Customer Officer at Contact Energy covering a diverse range
of areas including strategy, pricing, finance, digital, call centres and health and safety.
Mr Crawley is also an Advisory Board Member at Auckland University of Technology and was a
Future Director for The Warehouse Group during 2017-2018.
Summerset Chair Rob Campbell welcomed Vena saying he has a wide range of experience
from across a number of sectors.
“Vena has a wealth of experience in strategy, marketing and equity capital markets from
customer-focused businesses. We are a people business, and Vena’s skills will enhance the
strengths of the board. We look forward to him joining us.”
The appointment brings the Board of Directors to seven members, all of whom are independent.
Vena Crawley joins the Board as a non-executive independent director on 1 February 2020.
He holds an MBA and BA from Steinbeis University in Germany and has studied at the Darden
School of Business via Virginia State University. He’s worked in New Zealand and internationally
across seven different sectors and is fluent in five languages.
