»The Customer business recorded:

•Mass market electricity and gas sales of 297 GWh (January

2019: 281 GWh)

•Mass market electricity and gas netback of $88.97/MWh

(January 2019: $92.25/MWh)

»The Wholesale business recorded:

•Contracted Wholesale electricity sales, including that sold to

the Customer business, totalled 579 GWh(January 2019: 654

GWh)

•Electricity and steam net revenueof $73.51/MWh (January

2019: $71.68/MWh)

•Electricity generated (or acquired) of 654 GWh(January 2019:

738 GWh)

•The unit generation cost, which includes acquired generation

was $31.93/MWh(January 2019: $37.53/MWh)

•Own generation cost in the month of $30.48/MWh

(January 2019: $30.54/MWh)

»Otahuhufutures settlement wholesale price for the 2

nd

quarter of 2020 (ASX):

•As at 11 February 2020: $122/MWh

•As at 31 January 2020: $120/MWh

•As at 31 December 2019: $123/MWh

»As at 11 February, South Island controlled storage

was 131% of mean (31 January 2020: 112%) and

North Island controlled storage was 119% of mean (31

January 2020: 126%)

•As at 11 February 2020, total Clutha scheme

storage (including uncontrolled storage) was

143% of mean

•Inflows into Contact’s Clutha catchment for

January 2020 were 68% of mean (December

2019: 204%, November 2019: 174%, October

2019: 92%, September 2019: 52%)

January 2017):

•Cumulative 12 months demand for February 2019 to January 2020 of 41,727

GWh is up by 1.2% on the prior comparative period.
