Temporary Change in Board Chair
Serko Chair, Simon Botherway, is temporarily stepping back from his board and chair
duties for medical reasons
Claudia Batten appointed acting Chairperson

Serko Limited (NZX/ASX:SKO) announced today that Simon Botherway will be taking a temporary leave of
absence from the Serko board, but will remain a director on the board, to enable treatment for a recently
diagnosed non-life threatening medical condition. He is similarly taking leave from his other governance
roles.
Mr Botherway expects to return to full duties on the Serko board and his other boards later in the year.
He will continue to be available on a regular basis to provide advice to other board members and the
executive team.
“I am in great hands and confident of an excellent medical outcome.” Mr Botherway said.
Existing Serko director, Claudia Batten, will assume the role of acting Chairperson effective 12 March 2020
until Mr Botherway returns. Ms Batten is an experienced non-executive director who has been on the
Board since Serko’s initial public offering (IPO) and has successfully led Serko’s board strategy process
over the past few months.
As indicated at last year's Annual Meeting, Serko is currently undertaking a process to identify additional
directors to join the board and that process is underway.
Serko wishes Mr Botherway all the best for a speedy recovery.
