Appointment of new Non-Executive Director


In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, the Board of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Richard West as a non-executive director with effect
from 1 April 2020. Mr West will also be a member of the Audit, Management Engagement and
Nominations Committees.

Richard West has more than 30 years' experience in investment management, latterly at UBS
Global Asset Management (previously Phillips & Drew Fund Management) in a variety of
positions, including Head of Global Equity Research, Head of European Equities and Head of
UK Equities. Prior to UBS, he worked for Crown Financial Management as Head of UK Equities
and for Norwich Union as an economist and then as a UK equities portfolio manager.

Ms Sue Inglis, Chairman of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC, said “We are delighted that
Richard has agreed to join the Board, bringing his valuable investment experience from his
extensive career".

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are
no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr West.
