Market update on government advice

regarding domestic travel

Auckland Airport is assessing the impact of government advice that New Zealanders

should avoid all non-essential domestic travel to protect people from the spread of

COVID-19.

On Saturday 21 March the Government announced a new four-level COVID-19 alert

system for New Zealand, with each level providing different restrictions on social

contact and travel. New Zealand is currently assessed to be at Level 2 and people

have been asked to reduce social contact and limit all non-essential domestic travel.

Auckland Airport will continue to assess changes in the alert system, new border

controls and aviation market announcements. We are moving quickly to cut operating

costs, and Management is reviewing the capital expenditure programme.

Auckland Airport will keep the market updated as significant new information emerges.
