ArborGen Holdings Update on NZ Operations

25 March, 2020 –

In order to keep the market fully informed, ArborGen Holdings today announced that, in compliance

with the New Zealand Government’s Level 4 Alert status, its nursery operations in New Zealand would

be closing from midnight tonight. Although these operations are deemed to be non-essential under

strict Ministry for Primary Industries “Safe Practice” conditions, the company will continue to

undertake permitted necessary activities critical to ensure the survival and viability of the current

year’s crop, such as irrigation. Crop lifting for the NZ season does not begin until May, which is after

the planned expiry of the current country-wide ‘lock-down’ situation.

The Company’s quarantine facilities based in Te Teko (NZ) will continue to operate and grow fruit trees

as these activities have been defined as essential services.
