Confirmed Smelter consumption reduction to manage
COVID-19

Meridian Energy confirmed today that the Tiwai Point smelter in Southland will, from midnight on
Friday 3 April 2020, exercise its right to reduce the contracted quantity to zero for up to six months,
under its 50MW Potline 4 contract.
