2020 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting update and status as essential service

Auckland, New Zealand, 12 August 2020 – Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited
published a notice of meeting on 17 July 2020 in relation to its Annual Shareholders’ Meeting to be
held on Friday, 21 August 2020 at 2:00pm NZST.

Today the company advises that it will no longer offer the ability for shareholders to attend the
Annual Shareholders’ Meeting in person due to current concerns related to COVID-19 in Auckland
and potential risks to the health of meeting attendees. Shareholders will only be able to
participate online. This possibility was signalled in the notice of meeting.

Status as essential service
Following the announcement by New Zealand’s Prime Minister that the COVID-19 alert status
would be raised to Level 3 in Auckland today, the company advises that it is designated an
“essential service” and continues to manufacture and supply respiratory products from its Auckland
facilities. The company continued to operate effectively during March and April this year under
more restrictive lockdown criteria (Level 4).

Instructions for Annual Shareholders’ Meeting virtual attendance
To participate at the meeting online, go to www.virtualmeeting.co.nz/FPH20
. You will require your
shareholder number, found on your proxy form, for verification purposes.

Shareholders participating in the meeting online will be able to vote and ask questions. Members of
the Board will answer as many of the questions as possible during the meeting. Instructions for
online participation and voting can be found in the company’s Notice of Meeting located at
www.fphcare.com/asm
.

Shareholders may vote prior to the meeting online at vote.linkmarketservices.com/FPH/
or by post
by completing and lodging their voting form (which was sent to shareholders together with the
Notice of Meeting) with the company’s share registrar, Link Market Services Limited, in accordance
with the instructions set out on the form. In either case, to be effective the vote must reach Link
Market Services Limited no later than 2:00pm NZST on Wednesday, 19 August 2020.
