Fletcher Building announces new Chief Executive for Concrete division
Auckland, 14 August 2020: Fletcher Building today announced the appointment of
Nick Traber as Chief Executive of its Concrete division, replacing Ian Jones who will
remain with the Group.
Fletcher Building CEO Ross Taylor said: “Nick Traber brings significant global
experience to our Concrete division, having worked in several different markets over
the course of his career with LafargeHolcim, one of the world’s leading producers of
cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete and building solutions and products.
“His current role is leading LafargeHolcim’s business in its home market of Switzerland
and Northern Italy with over 1,000 employees. He has played a key role in driving the
transformation of the business, leading programmes focused around innovation,
sustainability and digitalization.” Incumbent Chief Executive of the Concrete division,
Ian Jones will remain in his current role over the coming months to support the
leadership transition to Nick. Following this, he will remain in the Fletcher Building
Group in a new role focused on strategic growth.
“I’m delighted that Ian has confirmed his commitment to stay within the Group to
continue his career, says Mr. Taylor. “There is no doubt that he will leave the Concrete
division in good shape having transformed it into a more focused, efficient and
innovative business which is well positioned for future success.”
Mr. Traber’s appointment is planned to be effective in January 2021.
