ISSUE OF SHARES

The Company announces the issue of 200,000 new ordinary shares of 25p each.
These shares were issued yesterday at a price of 1030.0p per share.

Following this issue, the total number of ordinary shares in issue with voting rights is
now 128,957,783.

With effect from 10 September 2020, the total number of voting rights in the
Company is 32,239,445 (1 vote for every 4 shares held excluding treasury shares).
This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by
which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to
their interest in, The Bankers Investment Trust PLC under the FCA’s Disclosure
Guidance and Transparency Rules.
