WESTPAC CONFIRMS 2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING DETAILS

Westpac has today confirmed that its 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be
held on Friday, 11 December 2020 at 10:00am (Sydney time).

The health and safety of Westpac’s shareholders, employees and the community is
paramount and given the current COVID-19 pandemic and resulting restrictions,
Westpac will hold its AGM online as a virtual meeting. This decision is consistent
with the Treasurer’s announcement on 31 July 2020 to extend the temporary
modifications of the Corporations Act to facilitate the holding of virtual only meetings.

Westpac is working on its AGM preparations to make it as easy as possible for all
shareholders to participate. Further details on how to participate will be in the Notice
of Meeting, to be released in early November 2020.
