SECOND INTERIM DIVIDEND FOR 2020

The Directors of the Company have resolved that the second interim dividend for the year
ending 31 December 2020 will be a payment of 2.90 pence per ordinary share, which
compares with a 2.90 pence per share second interim dividend this time last year. The
dividend will be paid on 2 November 2020 to shareholders registered at the close of business
on 9 October 2020. Please note that this payment will include a Dividend Re-Investment Plan
facility, for which the election date will be 16 October 2020.
As indicated in the Interim Report for the year ending 31 December 2020, the Company has
substantial revenue reserves with which to support dividend payments when not covered by
current year income. It is the Board’s intention to make use of these reserves and
shareholders can therefore expect an increased dividend for 2020 marking 50 consecutive
years of increases and over 150 years of annual dividend payments.
