Spark New Zealand announces resignation of Ido Leffler from Spark

Board

Spark New Zealand Chair Justine Smyth announced today that after six years as a

Director of Spark New Zealand, Ido Leffler has decided to step down from the Spark Board,

effective from the close of Spark’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders on 6 November 2020.

Ido has been a Director on the Spark Board since 2014 and currently sits on the Human

Resources and Compensation Committee and the Nominations and Corporate

Governance Committee.

“Ido has made a huge contribution to Spark’s Board and has been a crucial part of the

team as the business transformed from a legacy telco to New Zealand’s largest digital

services provider. He has brought a fresh perspective to many of our discussions, with his

deep understanding of digital business models and how to use digital channels in creative

ways, and we will miss his insight and his humour,” said Justine.

Justine said the Spark Board has an ongoing succession programme, and she would be

working with her fellow directors to consider the relevant skills and experience required

for the Spark Board to support the business in delivering on its 3-year strategy to 2023.
