New deputy chair announced

Vector today announces the appointment of current independent non-executive director Dame

Paula Rebstock as deputy chair of Vector and interim chair of Vector’s audit committee.

Dame Paula Rebstock joined the Vector board in April 2019 and is a leading Auckland-based

economist and company director, who was made a Dame Companion of the New Zealand

Order of Merit in 2015.

Vector’s chair, Jonathan Mason, said: “It is fantastic to have someone of Dame Paula’s

experience as deputy. She has an impressive background in governance, including as chair

of ACC, Kiwi Group Holdings, NHC and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Māia and is a former chair

of the New Zealand Commerce Commission. Dame Paula also has directorships on the boards

of leading companies including Auckland Transport and SeaLink.”

Dame Paula said: “I am looking forward to supporting Jonathan and the rest of the board as

deputy chair as Vector implements its symphony strategy and continues to follow its vision of

creating a new energy future for all of New Zealand.”
