Seeka announces settlement of the Kiwifruit Claim

Seeka Limited [NZX:SEK] advises that a settlement has been reached in the matter of the Kiwifruit
class action against the Crown related to the PSA outbreak in 2010. The settlement sum for the legal,
funding and claimants is a total of $40m inclusive of GST if any.
Seeka is a plaintiff in the class action.
The process of legal cost recovery, payment to the litigation funding partner and distribution to
claimants will now occur. Any distribution to claimants will require the approval of the High Court
prior to distribution.
Seeka will advise the market in due course of the payment it is to receive, once Seeka’s share of the
settlement has been determined and approved by the Claims Committee.
Seeka would take this time to thank the Claims Committee, legal and other advisers in this matter.
