Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC announces that Medha Samant has
informed the Board of her intention to resign from her role as Director of the Company due
to her intention to take on a full-time role at a financial services company. The effective date
of the resignation is 19 April 2021. The Board would like to thank Medha for her contribution
and wishes her success in her future career.

The Board will seek an appropriate independent non-executive Director to take Medha's
place in due course.
