MARKET UPDATE – MELBOURNE STORE CLOSURES
Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Ltd advises that the Government in Victoria, Australia, have extended the current
lockdown. Following last week’s announcement, 13 Glassons stores closed on Friday 28
th
May and will remain
closed until the lockdown is lifted which is currently planned for 11
th
June 2021. As we have witnessed in
previous lockdowns a shift to online sales has protected the company from any significant sales impact. All other
stores in Australia, including the web, will continue to trade as normal. New Zealand stores are not affected.
The Group will continue to follow advice and monitor the situation closely to ensure an agile approach is taken
to reduce any adverse impact on trading and to protect our team and customers.
