Appointment of new Non-Executive Director

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, the Board of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Miller as a non-executive director with effect
from 1 January 2022. He will also be a member of the Management Engagement, Nominations
and Insider Committees.

It is the Board’s intention that Simon Miller will become Chair of the Company following the
retirement of Sue Inglis at the Annual General Meeting in February 2022.

Simon Miller has over 25 years' experience in financi al services having recently retired as
Chairman of Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC, one of the largest UK wealth management firms.
Simon Miller is currently Chairman of Hampden and Co and Blackrock North American Income
Trust plc; he is also the Senior Independent Director of STV Group plc. He was previously
Chairman of JPMorgan Global Convertibles Income Fund Limited, Artemis Alpha Trust plc,
JPMorgan Elect plc and Amati VCT plc.

Sue Inglis, Chair of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC, said “We are delighted that, following a

agreed to join the Board. He will bring a broad range of experience and perspective and we are

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are
no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Simon Miller.
