MARKET UPDATE – NSW, VICTORIA & QUEENSLAND UPDATE
Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Ltd advises that on Thursday 5
th
August the Government in Victoria announced
that the state would enter a strict lockdown from Thursday 5
th
August for a period of 1 week, due to end on
Thursday 12
th
August. The 12 Glassons stores in Victoria have been and will remain closed for the duration of
the lockdown.
Following the announcement from the Government in Queensland, areas in South East Queensland are in
lockdown restrictions until Sunday 8
th
August. The 7 Glassons stores and the 4 Hallenstein Brothers stores have
been and will remain closed for the duration of the lockdown.
The Greater Sydney lock down in New South Wales will continue until at least Saturday 28
th
August. All 14
Glassons stores in NSW will remain closed until further notice to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
As per previous updates, the Group continues to see an increase in online sales which has helped to lessen the
overall sales impact in Australia. The Group has taken significant steps to ensure the safety of our staff and
customers, and to ensure that the web will continue to trade as normal during this difficult time. New Zealand
stores remain unaffected.
The Group will continue to follow advice and monitor the situation closely to ensure an agile approach is taken
to reduce any adverse impact on trading and to protect our team and customers.
