PaySauce Chair Announces Retirement
Lower Hutt, New Zealand - 31 August 2021
PaySauce Limited (NZX:PYS) announces that Nick Lewis, Chair of PaySauce,
intends to retire from the PaySauce board on 1 October 2021 to reduce his
workload in preparation for full retirement.
PaySauce also announces the board has elected existing PaySauce director
Michael O’Donnell (MOD) as interim Chair effective 2 October 2021. MOD will
chair the board while it considers its future governance needs and seeks
appropriate candidates. MOD was previously the Chair of Timely and is currently
the Chair of Garage Project, Deputy Chair of Serato, and a director of KiwiWealth,
Radio New Zealand and Tourism New Zealand.
CEO and Co-founder Asantha Wijeyeratne said, “Throughout his time on our
board as an independent director then as our Chair, Nick practiced the credo that
if you look after your people they will look after your company. We will miss his
leadership and enthusiastic engagement with our team.”
Lewis said, “I have enjoyed tremendously working with Asantha and the other
dedicated people at PaySauce. The company is in safe hands, and I’m looking
forward to watching this very talented team fulfill PaySauce’s huge potential.”
Wijeyeratne also welcomed MOD as interim Chair. “We are fortunate to have
MOD on our board. His extensive experience with both other SaaS companies
and as Chair will be invaluable as we continue to execute our growth strategy.”
