Climate change legal proceedings - update
As previously announced to the market, Refining NZ is one of seven named defendants in
proceedings brought in the High Court, relating to carbon emissions from the defendant’s activities
(Michael John Smith v Fonterra Co-Operative Group Limited And Ors).
The Court of Appeal confirmed today that all claims against Refining NZ have been struck out.
