CDPP withdraws proceedings against ANZ and Rick
Moscati
ANZ today welcomed the decision by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions to
discontinue proceedings against both ANZ and Rick Moscati in relation to all counts on the
indictment filed 16 August 2021.
The indictment involved an institutional e quity placement in 2015 and an arrangement or
understanding allegedly made between joint lead managers in relation to the supply of ANZ
shares.
ANZ Chief Risk Officer Kevin Corbally said: “We maintained all along ANZ acted in
accordance with the law in relation to the placement. We defended the bank and Rick on
that basis and we are pleased the matter is now behind us.”
ANZ will not be making any further comment on this matter.
