ANNOUNCEMENT BY NEW TALISMAN GOLD MINES LIMITED

Appointment of Directors
New Talisman Gold Mines is pleased to announce the appointment of two new independent
directors, Ms Samantha Sharif and Mr Michael Stiassny, to the New Talisman Board.
Samantha Sharif is a Professional Director with extensive leadership experience in
infrastructure, resources, safety critical industries, as well as investment and capital markets.
She is an experienced Board and Board Committee Chair, and a Chartered Member of the
Institute of Directors.
Samantha has experience as a CEO and has also practised as a senior commercial lawyer,
with post-graduate legal and finance qualifications.
Mr Stiassny is a Chartered Fellow of The Institute of Directors in NZ (Inc) (CFInstD) and is
also past President of the Institute of Directors. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants
Australia and New Zealand (retired). He has both a Commerce and Law degree.
He is currently Chairman of Tower Limited, also of Ngati Whatua Orakei Whai Rawa Limited,
and a director of a number of other companies.

full complement”
Mr Calum McKenzie who was a temporary appointment to the board now resigns. We are
extremely grateful to Mr McKenzie for being available to fill the role in the interim.
