Change in Director appointed by Bright Dairy

Qikai Lu (Albert) is stepping down as one of the Bright Dairy Holding Limited appointed directors on
the Synlait Milk Limited Board due to work commitments. Dr Gui Min (Gracie) will replace Albert.

Gracie is currently the Director of Marketing of Nutrition Section at Bright Dairy. Gracie has a Ph.D. in
pharmacology from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and National
Public Dietitian Level-I. She has more than 10 years of experience in research and product
development and marketing in nutrition, functional food, and related fields.

Synlait and Bright Dairy would like to take this opportunity to thank Albert for his contribution and
commitment to the company over the past seven years.

Bright Dairy Holding Limited has a 39.0% shareholding in Synlait and has four Board seats.

The appointment is effective immediately.
