NZX Release
15 February 2023
Impact of Cyclone Gabrielle
The impact of Cyclone Gabrielle continues to be of immense concern to everyone at Scales.
The immediate safety of all staff, including our seasonal employees, families and the wider
community are the primary focus at this time.
Whilst the focus continues to be on people, the Directors note that the cyclone has resulted
in some flooding of Mr Apple’s Hawke’s Bay orchards. A full assessment of this impact will
be made over the coming days. Mr Apple’s packhouses and coolstores remain fully
operational.
A further market update will be made following the assessment noted above.
The release of Scales’ FY22 full-year results is also scheduled for Thursday 23 February.
