Chorus confirms new Executive team

Chief Executive JB Rousselot today confirmed the Chorus Executive team to lead

the company as it migrates to a new operating model with a changed

organisational structure to better execute its strategy.

“With the successful completion of the Ultra Fast Broadband build, Chorus has

laid the foundation for a transformative era,” Mr Rousselot said.

“Moving to a new organisational structure will allow Chorus to unlock value by

aligning our focus, priorities and resources to better execute our strategy, reflect

our new regulatory framework, and meet the needs of a changing market.”

The new structure introduces three end-to-end value streams to deliver

outcomes faster and better.

• Access (focusing on fibre broadband to homes and businesses), will be led

by Elaine Campbell, currently Chorus’ Chief Corporate Officer and General

Counsel

• Infrastructure (focusing on complex fibre solutions for our customers

and leveraging Chorus’ assets to generate new revenues), will be led by

Mike Shirley. Mike was previously the Head of Vocus’ Wholesale business

and most recently in charge of Vector’s telecommunications business

• Fibre Frontier, (focusing on executing Chorus’ rural and regional

strategy), will be led by Anna Mitchell, currently Tribe Lead, Fibre Frontier

at Chorus.

Supporting these three value streams will be functional business units to be led

by existing and new members of the Executive team.

Mark Aue (former CEO of 2Degrees) who recently joined Chorus as Chief

Financial Officer, will be responsible for a broader Chief Operating Officer team

including Finance, Brand and Marketing, Strategy, and Customer engagement.

Katrina Smidt will join the Executive team as Deputy CFO, reporting to Mark.

Long term Chief Technology Officer, Ewen Powell, will continue to lead the

technology team and develop the company’s network, IT platforms and asset

management practices.

Marcus Wofinden will lead the reshaped Network Operations team to better serve

customers and the three value streams. Marcus has been a critical member of

Chorus’ customer and network operations team for 17 years and was most

recently responsible for Chorus’ Fibre Connect team.

As previously announced, Jo Mataira is Chorus’ new Chief People Officer. Jo has

played a key role developing Chorus People and Culture team over the last 8

years, most recently as Head of People Experience.

Finally, Kristel McMeekin has been appointed General Counsel and Julian Kersey

Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer. They are both highly valued members of

Elaine Campbell’s current senior leadership team.

“Jo, Katrina, Marcus, Anna, Kristel and Julian’s appointments are a great

example of the investment Chorus continues to make in developing a strong

pipeline of senior leaders. They will all be excellent additions to the Executive

team.

“In bringing Mark and Mike into Chorus we are adding new talent, perspectives

and voices to the Executive table, as well as retaining existing valuable

leadership capabilities and skills in Ewen and Elaine.”

The new operating model and the Executive team appointments, become

effective in Q2 of FY24.
