Changes to Genesis Executive Structure
Genesis Energy Chief Executive Malcolm Johns today announced changes to the Executive Team as
the Company positions itself to a smaller executive team to execute a refreshed strategy, to be
launched later in 2023.
The business will move into six business units, Retail, Wholesale and four support units. This has
resulted in two executive positions being disestablished, the Chief Operations Officer and Chief
Trading Officer. The Wholesale business unit will be led by a Chief Wholesale Officer.
Chief Executive, Malcolm Johns, said that Genesis is sad to see Rebecca Larking and Pauline Martin
leaving the business.
“I wish to thank Rebecca and Pauline for their outstanding service to Genesis over many years.
Rebecca has held senior leadership positions across many areas in the business and has been
instrumental in progressing and improving our standing with stakeholders across our generation
sites and local communities, leading our solar development programme and our Wholesale
Operations. Pauline has supported a strong performance for our Wholesale Markets business while
progressing key decarbonisation projects.”
Tracey Hickman, a long term executive of Genesis with broad commercial, operational and sector
experience, will lead the Wholesale business unit which will incorporate the generation, trading and
renewables development functions in the new role of Chief Wholesale Officer.
