Bella Takiari-Brame joins the Board of Accordant. Laurissa Cooney signals her
retirement in June 2024
Accordant Group Limited is pleased to announce that Bella Takiari-Brame has been appointed a non-
executive Director of the board, with effect from 1 January 2024.
As required by NZX Listing rules, the Accordant Group Limited Board have determined Bella is an
independent director as described in the NZX Corporate Governance Code.
Bella is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors, and has a
Masters in Management Studies with Distinction from Waikato University.
Bella has global experience in oil and gas and has led national and regional initiatives in energy and
economic development.
Bella has Iwi affiliations to Waikato-Maniapoto. She is passionate about empowering communities
through infrastructure, wellbeing, and workforce development at regional levels. She holds Governance
roles in Iwi, Commercial and Crown entities.
Bella states “I am excited about joining Accordant and look forward to working with Simon, the Board
and the team. I have strong alignment with Accordant’s purpose and its values, with a clear focus on
the future of our country and its workforce”.

is a seasoned executive, who is very savvy and brings the personality and values that will be additive
to our board and business.”

Laurissa will have served four years on the board when she hands over. She has been a great
