Further KFC Australia Class Action Claim
Restaurant Brands New Zealand Limited (RBD) notes that Gordon Legal has filed a class action in the
Federal Court of Australia on behalf of certain KFC employees naming the franchisor, QSR Pty Limited
(RBD’s Australian operating subsidiary) and eighty-eight other franchisees as respondents.
The class action raises substantially the same claims as the class action filed by Shine Lawyers (the
subject of RBD’s announcement on 19 December 2023). RBD has been served with Notices of Claim
for both actions.
RBD will continue to assess the claims and will update the market in the event that the claims are
expected to have a material impact on the RBD Group.
