APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY

Michael Hill International Limited (ASX/NZX:MHJ) (MHJ) advises, in accordance with ASX Listing Rule 3.16.1
that Kate Palethorpe has been appointed to the role of Company Secretary effective today, and will share
company secretary duties with Andrew Lowe, Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary.

Ms Palethorpe is an experienced ASX company secretary and governance professional, starting her career
at top-tier law firm Minter Ellison before moving to in-house roles including Aesop, Aussie Farmers Direct
and Australian Dairy Nutritionals. She has broad legal, commercial and governance experience and a strong
background in retail and consumer brands/products.

Ms Palethorpe is also appointed, for the purpose of ASX Listing Rule 12.6, as the person responsible for
communication between MHJ and ASX.
