Fletcher Building Responds to Class Action
Auckland, 6 August 2024: Fletcher Building Limited (FBU) acknowledges a class action
proceeding filed in the Federal Court of Australia and served today on its subsidiary, Iplex
Pipelines Australia (Iplex), by the law firm Baker McKenzie on behalf of persons who
acquired polybutylene pipes manufactured by Iplex composed of a resin known as
Typlex-1050. FBU has previously made a number of related disclosures regarding
polybutylene pipes under the name “Pro-fit” to which this claim appears to relate.
Iplex intends to defend the proceedings.
FBU and Iplex have no further comment to make on this matter at this time.
