WCO appoints new Chief Operating Officer
WasteCo Group Limited announces the appointment of Chris Brown as Chief Operating Officer, effective
26 August 2024.
Chris began his career with PwC and worked with them for 14 years across a variety of roles including
audit, insolvency, and corporate finance. He then moved offshore and held strategy, business
development and senior management positions for a range of businesses in Australia, Malaysia and the
United Kingdom. Chris returned to New Zealand in 2011 and has since held general management roles
in the Energy, Healthcare and Transport industries.
Chris has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University, Wellington, NZ and a
Master of Business Administration degree from the International School of Management in Paris.
WasteCo CEO, David Peterson said "We are delighted to welcome Chris as part of the WasteCo
executive leadership team. Chris brings extensive operational and leadership competence to the
business.”
The Board has determined that Chris Brown is a senior manager for the purposes of the NZX Listing
Rules.
