Market Maker Eligibility Rule Changes

Market Maker Eligibility Settings: Notice of Rule and Procedure Amendments
Earlier this year, NZX consulted on changes to its existing eligibility and ongoing requirements
for market makers across both its cash and derivatives markets. NZX has now obtained all
necessary regulatory approvals and wishes to notify the market of changes to the following
rules and procedures:
• NZX Participant Rules
• NZX Derivatives Market Rules
• NZX Derivatives Market Procedures
• NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal Rules
(together the NZX Rules and Procedures)
The updated NZX Rules and Procedures will become effective on Friday 22 November.
NZX is also releasing an updated Trading Conduct Guidance Note to align with the amendments
to the NZX Rules and Procedures.
