Scott Technology Secures $30M in Global Contracts for Materials
Handling & Logistics

Major Deals in Europe and North America Include First Pre-Order of New NexBot AGV

[29 October 2024 - Auckland, NZ] - Scott Technology Limited (NZX: SCT) has secured six major contracts, totalling

€17 million (NZD $30 million), for its Materials Handling & Logistics (MHL) business with leading food processors

across Europe and North America.

These wins spanning across, Canada, Belgium, France and the Netherlands continue to reinforce Scott’s global

leadership in automation for food processing and are key to the company's strategy of expanding its market

presence in North America this year . The contracts also mark a milestone in Scott’s productisation strategy with

the first pre-order of the all-new NexBot Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) which is set to launch in H1 FY25.

Aaron Vanwalleghem, President Europe & North America of Scott Technology, stated “The MHL business

continues to grow , earning repeat business from industry leaders and securing new customers. The strong pre-

launch interest in our NexBot AGV products further highlights the growing demand for smarter, more advanced

automation solutions. Its upcoming launch marks a pivotal moment in Scott’s productisation strategy, as we

move from custom-engineered systems to scalable, productised solutions—strengthening our leadership in

industry innovation and transforming the way our customers operate.”

Notable Deployments:

• North American Food Processor - France

Scott Technology will deliver a combined palletising and AGV solution at the French facility of a leading

North American food processor. The project will pair Scott's European multiline palletising expertise

with its U.S. designed NexBot AGV, marking the debut deployment of the AGV range which is set to

launch in 2025. The full system will be integrated using Scott’s proprietary Maestro+ industrial software.

“This innovative system will not only automate the palletising process but also integrate advanced

vehicle automation, significantly reducing manual handling requirements and increasing operational

efficiency. The combination of technologies showcases Scott’s ability to deliver integrated solutions that

span multiple areas of automation,” adds Vanwalleghem.

• North American Food Processor – Canada

In another milestone with the same North American food processor, Scott Technology has secured a

second contract to implement its advanced single-line palletising technology at the company's Canadian

facility. The project involves replacing an existing palletiser with Scott’s advanced technology,

streamlining their processing and significantly improving throughput and efficiency.

• EcoFrost – France

In a significant win for Scott, EcoFrost, a leading Belgian producer of frozen food products, has selected

Scott to support its expansion efforts into France. This strategic partnership highlights EcoFrost’s

decision to leverage Scott’s multiline palletising system to optimise production efficiency. Scott’s

advanced materials handling solution will be the core of EcoFrost’s production operations, ensuring

both high performance and reliability at their state-of-the-art plant.

"As the food production industry undergoes rapid technological advancements, Scott is proud to deliver cutting-

edge automation solutions that drive efficiency and innovation for some of the world’s leading producers. MHL

systems and products integrated through clever software deliver solutions that empower our customers to stay

ahead in a competitive, tech-driven landscape and transform the future of food production," concludes

Vanwalleghem.
