Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Metro is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Hipkiss to the role of CFO, effective
20 January 2025. She will replace Tony Candy who has filled the role since August of last
year.
We are grateful for Tony's effort and dedication in what was always a transitional role in the
business. At a time when the company needed to stabilise during a period of board and
management change, his calm demeanour and experience has been invaluable. Tony will
continue in the business until early next year, allowing a good handover to Sarah.
Sarah has a strong financial background commencing in audit with KPMG Auckland,
transferring to London and then promoted to Partner in the Auckland office. Her commercial
leanings saw her move to NZX listed Cavalier Corporation as CFO and continued to NZ
manufacturer The Comfort Group. She is excited by the challenge of returning to a
manufacturer with the scale of Metro and joining the leadership team as the company
implements it's business turnaround.
We are excited to have secured her, and feel that with her hands-on, high-energy approach
she will make a significant contribution to the team.
