Westpac Banking Corporation – New Zealand Climate Report
Westpac Banking Corporation (“Westpac”) has today published the Westpac Banking
Corporation New Zealand Climate Report for the year ended 30 September 2024. The
Westpac Banking Corporation New Zealand Climate Report is available at
www.westpac.co.nz/disclosure-statements/
Westpac is a required to prepare climate-related disclosures under the Financial Markets
Conduct Act 2013 (New Zealand). In preparing this report, Westpac has relied on the
exemptions in clause 8 and 10 of the Financial Markets Conduct (Climate-related
Disclosures for Foreign Listed Issuers) Exemption Notice 2024. In combination, these
exemptions allow Westpac to produce a climate report only for the Group’s New Zealand
businesses other than Westpac New Zealand Limited and BT Funds Management (NZ)
Limited, each of which are climate reporting entities and prepare their own climate-related
disclosures.
