EROAD Board Renewal and Tech Committee Transition
Auckland, 24 February 2025: EROAD Limited ("EROAD") announces that John Scott will be appointed
as a new independent Non-Executive Director effective 1 March, 2025.
Based in New Zealand, Mr. Scott brings extensive experience in global technology, digital
transformation, and business strategy. He was the CEO of Invenco and a key executive at Navico, both
innovative technology companies that have grown into international success stories from their New
Zealand origins. With a strong background in technology, product innovation, and business
transformation, he has led high-growth teams, scaled global businesses, and driven strategic change.
His expertise in product development, sales and marketing, supply chain management, and governance
will be a valuable addition to EROAD’s Board.
EROAD Chair Susan Paterson said, "We are pleased to welcome John to the EROAD Board. As Chair of
AoFrio and Vessev, and a Board Member at AsBuilt, he brings insightful perspectives that will support our
ongoing innovation and growth. His deep understanding of technology and experience in high-growth
environments will be a great asset to our team.”
In accordance with the NZX listing rules, the Board has determined that Mr. Scott is an Independent
Director.
EROAD also announces that, effective 3 March 2025, Steven Newman will step down as a consultant to
the Technology Committee.
Ms. Paterson said, “Steven joined the Technology Committee as a consultant two years ago, bringing
insights and deep knowledge of our technology and business as we began executing our refreshed strategy.
The Board is very grateful for Steven’s contribution to the Committee during this period of change, and his
ongoing support as a major EROAD shareholder.”
Steven added, “I have known John Scott for many years and have followed his achievements in growing
technology businesses. I have enjoyed my involvement in EROAD’s Technology Committee over the past
couple of pivotal years and am pleased that John will be joining the Committee as part of his appointment
to the Board.”
